The film Gamyam directed by Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna (Krish) received critical acclaim and is one of the few big hits of the year. The film is now being remade in several languages.
While Dasari Narayana Rao will remake the film in Hindi, AM Rathnam is remaking the film in Tamil.
The name of Ravi Krishna, son of Rathnam is being heard prominently as the hero for the film. Kamalini Mukhejee who played the role of Janaki in the Telugu version has now been signed up to play the same role in Tamil .
Illan Kanna will direct the Tamil version while Krish himself will direct the Hindi version.
